Immerse yourself in the prestigious world of Barolo DOCG offered by M. Abbona winery, a renowned producer known for its commitment to creating wines that authentically reflect the terroir of one of Piedmont’s most famous areas. This Barolo is a tribute to Italian wine-making tradition, representing the meticulous effort that begins with the selection of grapes and continues through to aging in oak barrels.

Visually, M. Abbona’s Barolo features an intense garnet red color, with shades that lean towards orange as the years pass. On the nose, this wine reveals complex aromas of ripe fruit such as cherries and plums, enriched by spicy notes of tobacco and licorice, along with an elegant hint of dried rose, which is characteristic of high-quality Barolo.

On the palate, the wine is robust and full-bodied, with a well-balanced tannic structure that hints at excellent aging potential. The acidity is well countered by the intense flavors of red fruit and spicy hints derived from aging in wood. The finish is long and persistent, indicative of a wine that can beautifully evolve over many years.

This Barolo DOCG is ideal for pairing with intense dishes like braised meats, meat stews, and aged cheeses. It is also an excellent choice for special occasions, offering a deep and memorable sensory experience. Serve it at around 18°C (64°F) to fully appreciate its richness and complexity.

M. Abbona Winery employs traditional techniques alongside modern innovations to ensure that each bottle reflects the pure essence of the Barolo territory, making this wine a prestigious choice for any collector or enthusiast looking to add a touch of nobility to their cellar.

Winery history
The company’s history begins with the Abbona family: father Celso promoted the Dolcetto di Dogliani and planted vineyards such as Bricco Doriolo. In the following years Marziano and Enrico expanded the estate by acquiring vineyards in the Langhe and began bottling under the family label. At the end of the 1990s the daughters joined the business; the Valle dell’Olmo winery was renovated and enlarged and, by the 2000s, inaugurated as the central facility, consolidating the production of cru wines and oenological experimentation.
Production philosophy
Combines respect for tradition with research: hand-tended vineyard yields, sustainable farming practices, close attention to grape quality and a measured use of winery technology to express the terroir.
