This is a highly prestigious label, with which the Schiavenza winery has obtained very high scores in important Italian and international sector guides.

A prestigious wine that comes from the exclusive use of Nebbiolo grapes, the main vine for the renowned Piedmontese red wines. The Nebbiolo vines are grown with the Guyot system in the vineyards located near Serralunga d'Alba, on clay, silt and limestone soil. The grapes, harvested between mid and late October, undergo the fermentation process in steel, followed by refinement in Slavonian oak barrels lasting 36 months. At the end of this maturation period, the wine is ready to be bottled and introduced onto the market.

It has a typically garnet red color, with light reflections tending towards orange. The aromas that characterize its olfactory profile revolve around floral notes of dried rose, enriched with spicier touches, deriving from the aging in wood. In the mouth, the wine stands out for its excellent body, the presence of robust tannins and a powerful and energetic sip that envelops the tasting with elegance and refinement.

Family-run winery in Serralunga d'Alba (Piedmont) producing wines typical of the Langhe, with a particular focus on Nebbiolo/Barolo, alongside agritourism and dining activities.
Region: Piemonte
Country: Italia
Founded: 1956
Grapes: Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto
Production of single-cru Barolo from Serralunga and a Barolo from Perno. Vineyards covering approximately 11 hectares between Serralunga d'Alba and Monforte d'Alba. Soil-focused agronomic approach: minimal tillage, integrated pest management and hand harvesting. Traditional winemaking with fermentations in concrete and ageing in Slavonian barrels for many wines. Agriturismo and traditional Langa cuisine integrated with the winery's activities.
Winery history
The estate began as a family business rooted in Serralunga d’Alba: the original core was purchased by the great-grandfather in the 1920s and the first label dates to 1956, the year construction of the winery also began. In the 1990s management expanded with the entry of new generations, and the estate progressively enlarged its vineyards and modernized the winery while retaining traditional methods. Since 1997 the business has also included a trattoria/agriturismo that showcases the estate’s products.
Production philosophy
The winery adopts an approach that prioritizes soil health and terroir expression: low-impact practices, hand-harvesting, and winemaking focused on expressing the terroir rather than on oenological manipulation. Concrete tanks are used for fermentation and Slavonian oak barrels for aging in the traditional styles.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards extend between Serralunga d’Alba and Monforte d’Alba in the Langhe: soils of the Lequio formation in Serralunga and sandier soils of Diano origin in Perno. Many crus are east/southeast-facing; the vineyards used for the Langhe Nebbiolo lie between 300 and 400 meters above sea level, with individual parcels such as Broglio and Cerretta.
