The Barolo DOCG Vignarionda Riserva - Magnum - Oddero is one of the highest and most prestigious expressions of Barolo produced by the Oddero winery. This wine represents the perfect synthesis between the historical richness and the innovative vocation of the winery, which for generations has cultivated the vineyards in the heart of the Langhe with passion and dedication, following sustainable practices that respect the territory.

Vignarionda, located in the municipality of Serralunga d'Alba, is one of the most famous and appreciated MGA (Additional Geographical Mentions) of the Barolo denomination. This vineyard is known for its soil rich in calcareous marl and clay, which gives the wine an extraordinary tannic structure, aromatic depth and complexity, as well as a remarkable aging capacity.

Presented in Magnum format, which enhances its prestige and favors optimal organoleptic development over time, the Barolo Vignarionda Riserva di Oddero is the result of a careful selection of the best Nebbiolo grapes, carefully harvested by hand. The prolonged refinement in large oak barrels and the subsequent rest in the bottle allow this wine to fully express the unique character of the vineyard of origin.

Visually, the wine has an intense garnet red color, with orange reflections that tend to develop with aging. On the nose, a complex and layered bouquet emerges, characterized by notes of ripe red fruits, dried flowers, spices, tobacco and a light mineral vein, which reflect the typicality and elegance of the Vignarionda cru.

In the mouth, Barolo Vignarionda Riserva offers a majestic structure, with powerful but finely crafted tannins, which integrate harmoniously with the acidity of the wine, giving balance and leading to a long and persistent finish. The flavors are consistent with the olfactory sensations, with an aftertaste that invites reflection and discovery of the many nuances of this exceptional Barolo.

Ideal for accompanying dishes of great intensity and complexity, such as red meats, game, truffle-based dishes and mature cheeses, the Barolo DOCG Vignarionda Riserva - Magnum from Oddero is also an excellent meditation wine, destined to evolve splendidly over time, offering an unparalleled tasting experience.

Winery history
The Oddero family has been in La Morra since the 18th century; the modern estate dates from 1878, when the first Giacomo Oddero began bottling wines under the family name. In the 20th century, the management of Giacomo helped consolidate the estate’s reputation; today the business is run by the next generations, who maintain the family tradition while expanding the vineyards and production.
Production philosophy
The winery aims to express the terroir by working with careful attention in the vineyard and with respect for the environment: organic practices and sustainable management are adopted to showcase the individual crus and preserve the heritage of the Langhe. In the cellar, priority is given to preserving the integrity of the grapes and to aging in large casks for wines that evolve over time.
