This Armagnac stands out for its deep amber color with golden reflections, a sign of long maturation in oak barrels that is also reflected in the complex and enveloping bouquet. On the nose, notes of praline, sweet spices such as vanilla and caramel emerge, enriched by nuances of tobacco and leather, the result of prolonged aging.
On the palate, Dartigalongue’s Bas Armagnac 1992 displays a robust body and a balanced texture: the attack is smooth, with an evolution that leads to discovering flavors of dried fruit, mocha, and a light minerality that precedes a long and persistent finish, characterized by a return of sweet spices and a delicate astringency that invites another sip.
This Armagnac is undoubtedly an exceptional product for enthusiasts of vintage spirits. Served at room temperature, it can be enjoyed neat or accompanied by dark chocolate or quality cigars as part of a tasting ritual that celebrates the most sophisticated pleasures. Its presentation in a wooden case makes this Armagnac also a gift of great prestige and an excellent addition to any collection of fine liquors.

Distillation
Continuous distillation in a column still at low strength; for some ranges the use of traditional artisanal Armagnac pot stills is mentioned.
Ageing
Ageing in Gascon oak barrels (about 400 L); after 40–50 years the best vintages may be transferred to glass demijohns to preserve their character; numbered single cask and limited editions exist.
