The Samalens distillery, with a history dating back to 1882, is famous for its traditional continuous distillation method, which imparts exceptional quality to the final product. This method, combined with the selection of the finest wines and careful selection of barrels, allows for the production of an Armagnac of exceptional finesse.
The Bas Armagnac V.S.O.P. features a bright amber color, with golden reflections that testify to its maturation period in wood. On the nose, it opens with intense aromas of ripe fruit, vanilla, and light notes of cocoa, followed by nuances of sweet spices and a delicate hint of toasted wood.
On the palate, it is velvety and rich, with a perfect balance between the sweetness of ripe fruit and the robustness of the spices. The aromatic persistence is remarkable, leaving a pleasantly warm and spicy aftertaste.
This Armagnac V.S.O.P. is ideal to be enjoyed neat at the end of a meal, possibly accompanied by dark chocolate or a quality cigar, to best enhance its rich aromatic nuances. It is also perfect as a gift for enthusiasts of high-end spirits.
