The Basilicata IGT Manfredi Bianco by Re Manfredi is a white wine that expresses the richness and variety of the Lucanian territory. Produced by the Re Manfredi winery, this wine is the result of a skilful selection of white grapes, which are grown with great care in the volcanic lands of Basilicata, giving the wine a unique and distinctive character.

Visually, it has a brilliant straw yellow color, with greenish reflections that underline its freshness. On the nose, the wine offers an aromatic and inviting bouquet, with notes of white pulp fruit, such as apple and pear, enriched by floral nuances and a light mineral touch, which reflects the uniqueness of its volcanic terroir.

On the palate, this Basilicata IGT is balanced and harmonious, with a lively acidity that gives freshness and drinkability. The flavors of fresh fruit are well present, accompanied by a subtle minerality that adds complexity and persistence to the sip.

This white wine is perfect for accompanying light appetizers, fish dishes, seafood and white meats. Thanks to its freshness and aromatic profile, Manfredi Bianco is also an excellent choice as an aperitif, capable of stimulating the appetite and preparing the palate for subsequent dishes.

Winery history

Re Manfredi was created as a project of Gruppo Italiano Vini in the late 1990s to enhance the Vulture area. The estate developed around a historic farmhouse and a modern winery and is named in honor of Manfredi di Svevia; its facilities and commercial identity were consolidated from the foundation date listed online as 1998.

Production philosophy

Exploring the expression of Vulture's volcanic soils through modern, selective winemaking; focusing on the wines' sense of place, variation in aging vessels, and company management practices that reflect the owner group's principles of land protection and sustainability.

Terroir and vineyards

The vineyards are located in the Monte Vulture area, in the province of Potenza. The area is characterized by volcanic soils and altitudes ranging from approximately 400 to 550 metres; the cru vineyard 'Serpara' in Maschito is cited as a notable parcel with old vines.
