The Bin 169 Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 from Penfolds expresses the character of Cabernet Sauvignon grown in the Coonawarra region. In the glass it shows a deep ruby colour; on the nose it opens with notes of ripe red and black fruit, with herbal hints and delicate spice. The structure is balanced, with tannins that are present but measured and acidity that supports the wine without overpowering it.

On the palate it confirms the fruity density and offers a linear progression, with returns of blueberry and black cherry and a dry, persistent finish. It is suitable to accompany red meat dishes, roasts and mature cheeses; it can be served at around 16–18 °C. A short decantation can open its aromas; it also pairs well with Mediterranean dishes seasoned with herbs.

The "Bin" line and other iconic references that represent Penfolds' style. A long historical legacy and a contemporary focus on innovation in the winery.
Winery history
Penfolds was founded in Magill when Christopher and Mary Penfold planted the first vines in 1844. Over the decades the winery grew from local production of fortified and table wines to an international presence, with key moments such as the arrival of Max Schubert and the experimentation that led to the creation of the famous Grange in the 1950s. Today Penfolds combines tradition and innovation, continuing to nurture historic vineyards and select fruit from many regions for its flagship wines.
Production philosophy
The company's approach combines technical rigor and creativity: Penfolds prioritizes the pursuit of the "house style" through site selection, cellar experimentation and a vision that brings together science and craftsmanship to produce age-worthy, distinctive wines.
Terroir and vineyards

Penfolds also has international projects and fruit sources, for example Napa Valley in the United States.
