The Bin 707 Cabernet Sauvignon by Penfolds is an Australian icon, produced exclusively in years when the grape variety is able to express itself at its best. This wine is often compared to the great Cabernet Sauvignon of Bordeaux for its structure and complexity.

Born from a rigorous selection of grapes sourced from the winery's best vineyards, the Bin 707 boasts a deep ruby red color. On the nose, it offers intense aromas of black fruits such as cassis and blueberries, integrated with hints of vanilla, chocolate, and subtle notes of eucalyptus. The aging in new American oak barrels imparts a robust tannic texture and a long aromatic persistence.

On the palate, the Bin 707 is vigorous and full-bodied, with a perfect balance between rich fruit and fresh acidity. The tannins are powerful yet smooth, and the finish is long and elegant, leaving a sensation of fullness and complexity.

Perfect for extended aging, this Cabernet Sauvignon pairs beautifully with rich dishes such as red meat roasts, game, and aged cheeses. A wine that represents Penfolds' excellence in creating world-class Cabernet Sauvignon.

The "Bin" line and other iconic references that represent Penfolds' style. A long historical legacy and a contemporary focus on innovation in the winery.
Winery history
Penfolds was founded in Magill when Christopher and Mary Penfold planted the first vines in 1844. Over the decades the winery grew from local production of fortified and table wines to an international presence, with key moments such as the arrival of Max Schubert and the experimentation that led to the creation of the famous Grange in the 1950s. Today Penfolds combines tradition and innovation, continuing to nurture historic vineyards and select fruit from many regions for its flagship wines.
Production philosophy
The company's approach combines technical rigor and creativity: Penfolds prioritizes the pursuit of the "house style" through site selection, cellar experimentation and a vision that brings together science and craftsmanship to produce age-worthy, distinctive wines.
Terroir and vineyards
Historic headquarters in Magill, with sourcing from many Australian wine regions including Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale, Coonawarra, Adelaide Hills, Eden Valley, Clare Valley, Wrattonbully and also cooler areas such as Tasmania. Penfolds also has international projects and fruit sources, for example Napa Valley in the United States.
