Balanced and clean, this Japanese blended whisky immediately shows the delicate hand of the blending: on the nose there are notes of vanilla and caramel from the ex-bourbon maturation, accompanied by a hint of ripe citrus and light malt. It’s not a muscular whisky, but it displays a composed and precise structure, with the oak framing the sip without overpowering it and a slight spiciness that adds depth without weighing it down, lending elegance and pleasing finesse.

On the palate it is soft, with a silky texture and a balance between sweetness and freshness: gentle honey, orange peel and a touch of toasted coconut alternate over a moderately persistent, clean and dry finish. It works well both for a tasting enjoyed neat and as a base for elegant cocktails; it pairs successfully with grilled fish, flavorful white meats or semi-cooked cheeses, served at room temperature or slightly chilled. Also suitable for informal convivial occasions.
