Distilled from finely selected grapes and aged for 20 years in oak barrels, the Acquae Vitae displays a bright amber color, with golden highlights that herald its nobility. On the nose, intense notes of vanilla, cooked fruit, and sweet spices are pronounced, wrapped in a light veil of tobacco and leather, evidence of its long rest in the barrel.
On the palate, the complexity of the Berta Brandy makes its way through a velvety and rich texture, with flavors of baked apple, dark chocolate, and almond that blend into a long and persistently aromatic finish. The balance between acidity and sweetness is masterfully achieved, making each sip a moment of pure pleasure.
Ideal to be served as a digestive after a meal, the Berta Acquae Vitae Brandy also lends itself magnificently as a base for refined cocktails or simply to be enjoyed on its own, perhaps accompanied by dark chocolate or premium cigars. The wooden case in which it is presented further emphasizes the care and quality of this product, making it an exclusive gift for connoisseurs or a precious treasure to add to one’s collection of spirits.
In summary, the Berta Acquae Vitae 20-year-old Brandy is an example of a distilled spirit that transcends the ordinary, offering a sensory experience that will remain etched in the memory of those who have the pleasure of tasting it.

Distillation
Steam distillation with discontinuous small boilers (caldaiette discontinue); three-step process: first distillation to obtain the flemma, cold filtration, and second distillation to separate the heart; both pomace and wine/grape are distilled for different productions.
Ageing
Aging first in large Slavonian oak vats (vat cellar) and prolonged in barriques and tonneaux (Tronçais d’Allier oak) in underground cellars; some products mature for years in naturally thermoregulated environments; an R&D cellar is used for experiments.
