Brunello di Montalcino DOCG by Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona is a wine that embodies the quintessence of Sangiovese, celebrating the depth, complexity and elegance that this historic grape variety can express in the Montalcino area, in the heart of Tuscany. Tenuta Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona, with its long history and deep connection to the land, is recognized as one of the leading producers of Brunello, dedicating itself to creating wines that faithfully reflect the terroir and winemaking tradition of the region.

Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona's Brunello di Montalcino comes from carefully selected Sangiovese grapes, grown in the hills surrounding the medieval village of Montalcino. These grapes benefit from an ideal microclimate, characterized by hot summer days and cool autumn nights, which favor slow and complete maturation, essential for developing the complex aromatic range and distinctive tannic structure of Brunello.

Winemaking follows traditional methods, with long fermentation and maceration to extract color, aromas and tannins. The refinement takes place in large oak barrels, for a minimum period of two years, followed by further maturation in the bottle before marketing. This aging process helps to smooth out the tannins and integrate the different components of the wine, resulting in a Brunello of notable complexity and harmony.

Visually, the Brunello di Montalcino DOCG by Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona has an intense ruby red color, with garnet reflections that develop with aging. On the nose, the wine expresses a rich bouquet, with notes of ripe red fruits, spices, tobacco, leather and balsamic nuances, which evolve wonderfully in the glass.

In the mouth, Brunello offers an extraordinary concentration of flavors, with a solid but elegant tannic texture, and a well-balanced acidity that gives freshness. The flavors of cherry, plum, spice and earth come together in a long and persistent finish, which leaves a pleasantly complex and layered sensation.

Ideal in combination with intense dishes such as grilled red meats, game and mature cheeses, the Brunello di Montalcino DOCG by Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona is a meditation wine, which continues to evolve and improve over the years, testifying to the art and passion for Tuscan viticulture.
