The Rosso di Montalcino DOC by Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona is a wine that expresses with elegance and intensity the characteristics of Sangiovese, the symbolic vine of Tuscany, and in particular of the Montalcino area, renowned for the production of highly prestigious and longevity. The Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona winery, with its historical roots and a consolidated reputation in the Italian wine scene, is famous for its ability to produce wines that combine tradition and innovation, reflecting the uniqueness and richness of the Montalcino terroir.

Rosso di Montalcino DOC is produced exclusively from Sangiovese grapes, harvested by hand in the vineyards owned by the winery, located in privileged positions on the hills of Montalcino. This area is characterized by soils rich in minerals and an ideal microclimate, which together contribute to the optimal ripening of the grapes, allowing the production of wines of great varietal and territorial expression.

The vinification of Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona's Rosso di Montalcino follows an approach that aims to preserve the purity and intensity of the Sangiovese fruits, with controlled temperature fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by a period of refinement in barrels of oak of various sizes. This process allows us to obtain a wine that maintains the freshness and liveliness of the fruit, while at the same time enriching itself with complexity and depth.

Visually, the wine has a brilliant ruby red color, with violet reflections that testify to its youth. On the nose, it offers a rich and complex bouquet, with dominant notes of red cherries, berries and a hint of spices, enriched by floral and balsamic nuances, which reflect the typical expressiveness of Sangiovese.

In the mouth, the Rosso di Montalcino by Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona reveals an excellent structure and a harmonious balance, with fine and well-integrated tannins that support the flavors of ripe fruit and spicy notes, leading to a long and persistent finish, characterized with a pleasant freshness and a light mineral note.

Ideal in combination with Tuscan dishes, such as pappardelle with wild boar ragù, grilled red meats and mature cheeses, the Rosso di Montalcino DOC by Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona is also a meditation wine, which invites you to discover the nuances and expressive potential of Sangiovese, offering a tasting experience that combines intensity, elegance and territorial typicality.
