A wine of great personality, this Riserva expresses the typical character of Sangiovese from Montalcino with concentration and finesse. In the glass it shows a deep ruby color and an aromatic profile of ripe cherry, plum and light hints of underbrush and sweet tobacco; there are also spicy touches that add complexity. The palate is enveloping yet firm: well-defined tannins and an inner freshness that balances the body, giving finesse and drinkability. On the long finish, the persistence lingers on fruity memories and a savoriness that invites another sip.

It benefits from a light decanting to release its aromas; ideal serving temperature around 16–18 °C. It is an excellent companion for structured dishes such as braised meats, roasted red meats and aged cheeses, but it works just as well when enjoyed on its own in moments of contemplation. It has the structure and substance for further aging in the cellar, while remaining enjoyable today, with elegance.
