The Lugana DOC by Cà dei Frati is a refined white wine widely admired for its freshness and elegant structure. Produced in the picturesque area surrounding Lake Garda, this wine encapsulates the richness of the land where the vineyards extend. The 375ml bottle is ideal for those who prefer enjoying wine in moderate doses, perfect for an intimate meal or as a sophisticated gift.

Exclusively made from Turbiana grapes, a local variety renowned for its ability to express the unique terroir of this region. The winemaking process follows traditional methods, with temperature-controlled fermentation preserving the natural aromas of the grapes, followed by a brief maturing period on the lees which imparts greater body and complexity to the wine.

Visually, the Lugana by Cà dei Frati boasts a bright straw yellow color with greenish highlights. On the nose, it offers a complex and enticing bouquet, with notes of ripe fruits like peach and melon, hints of almond, and floral nuances. On the palate, the wine is exceptionally balanced, with good acidity supporting a soft structure and a lingering finish that invites another sip.

Ideally served chilled, this Lugana is perfect as an aperitif or paired with delicate fish dishes, sushi, or light appetizers. It is also remarkably suitable for light pasta dishes and risottos, enhancing the flavors without overpowering them.

Cà dei Frati once again demonstrates its expertise in crafting wines that capture the essence of a territory rich in history and winemaking traditions. An indispensable addition to any respectable wine collection or menu.

Winery history
The estate is documented as far back as 1782, and its present course took shape when Felice Dal Cero moved to Lugana di Sirmione in 1939. The Dal Cero family progressively bottled and promoted Lugana; in 1969 Pietro Dal Cero took part in the establishment of the appellation by bottling its first label. Today the estate is managed by succeeding generations of the family, who carry on production and activities tied to the local area.
Production philosophy
Careful work in the vineyard and cellar, with separate vinifications for each vineyard to capture the different expressions of the terroir. The estate declares respect for the raw material, up-to-date techniques and carefully planned ageing to produce wines with integrity and longevity.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate's main vineyards are concentrated in the Lugana di Sirmione area and around the tower of San Martino della Battaglia on Lake Garda; in the early 2000s the estate also acquired approximately 11 hectares in Valpolicella, where the Amarone 'Pietro Dal Cero' is produced.
