The Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot Toscana IGT from Folonari, labeled in the line as "Baby Super Tuscan", is a pleasant, ready-to-drink red wine. Of compact ruby color, it opens on the nose with aromas of ripe red fruit, notes of cherry and plum and a subtle spicy hint. The structure is balanced, tannins are present but soft, and acidity supports the sip, ensuring overall harmony. It is aimed at those seeking an accessible Tuscan red with good personality.

It pairs easily with flavorful pasta dishes, grilled white and red meats, and medium-maturity cheeses. Also suitable for an informal dinner or to accompany a cold-cut board. Serve at a cool cellar temperature (around 16–18 °C) and preferably in a large glass to enhance the aromas; if desired, a short decanting can make the aromatic profile rounder. A practical choice for those looking for an everyday wine with character.

Winery history
The Folonari family has deep roots in the Brescia area and has been involved in wine production since the late 18th century. At the end of the 19th century the headquarters were moved to Brescia, and in the early 20th century the family acquired the historic Ruffino winery. In the 1960s Nino Folonari began a shift toward quality with the acquisition of estates in Chianti. In 2000 Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari established Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute, which brings together several estates in Tuscany, while the Folonari brand offers an extensive range of table wines and appellation wines.
Production philosophy
Enhance the production areas, combine tradition and innovation, and focus on grape quality to produce wines that are distinctive and closely tied to their territory; the company's plan includes investments in the estates and attention to the diversity of terroirs.
Terroir and vineyards
Headquarters and estates are mainly in Tuscany, with production and a presence also in north-eastern regions such as Veneto and in areas like the Collio; the company’s history begins in the Bresciano and includes references to territories around Lake Garda and beyond.
Awards and recognitions
