Il Borgo di Cabreo 1986, labeled Toscana IGT by Tenute del Cabreo and distributed by Folonari, is presented in Jeroboam format in a wooden case. The time since the vintage gives the wine an evolved profile: the color shows deep but softened hues, while the bouquet unfolds into notes of ripe fruit, tertiary aromas and a complex character that develops in the glass. The historic bottle requires care when opening because of possible sediment; the Jeroboam format enhances its presence and appeal to collectors, while remaining intended for thoughtful consumption.

We recommend opening the bottle carefully and, if possible, decanting slowly to separate any sediment and allow the wine to oxygenate. Serving temperature around 16–18°C; pairings with dishes of rich texture such as braised red meats, slow-cooked game or aged cheeses, without excluding flavorful preparations from the Tuscan tradition. Given the mature vintage, ideal storage is in a stable, cool, light-protected environment; for those purchasing as an investment or keepsake, the wooden case eases transport and presentation.

Winery history
The Folonari family has deep roots in the Brescia area and has been involved in wine production since the late 18th century. At the end of the 19th century the headquarters were moved to Brescia, and in the early 20th century the family acquired the historic Ruffino winery. In the 1960s Nino Folonari began a shift toward quality with the acquisition of estates in Chianti. In 2000 Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari established Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute, which brings together several estates in Tuscany, while the Folonari brand offers an extensive range of table wines and appellation wines.
Production philosophy
Enhance the production areas, combine tradition and innovation, and focus on grape quality to produce wines that are distinctive and closely tied to their territory; the company's plan includes investments in the estates and attention to the diversity of terroirs.
Terroir and vineyards
Headquarters and estates are mainly in Tuscany, with production and a presence also in north-eastern regions such as Veneto and in areas like the Collio; the company’s history begins in the Bresciano and includes references to territories around Lake Garda and beyond.
Awards and recognitions
The "Vinitaly Territory Ambassador" award was presented to Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute.
