Cabreo Il Borgo Toscana IGT 1994 is a red wine produced by Tenute del Cabreo and marketed by Folonari. Presented in a wooden case, this bottle corresponds to the indicated vintage and has undergone more than thirty years of bottle evolution, which has contributed to its maturation. It is aimed at collectors or those seeking a mature, contemplative wine: over time the structure has harmonized and the aromatic profile has shifted toward more evolved expressions, while retaining an overall balance that should be assessed case by case depending on the bottle's condition.

Before opening, check the wine level, cork integrity and label appearance; after decades in bottle deposits or variations may be present. When serving, open carefully and consider decanting to remove sediment and allow the wine to express itself; serving temperature should be moderate. Suggested pairings include savory, structured dishes such as red meats or aged cheeses, bearing in mind the choice depends on the actual condition of the contents. Store in a cool, constant-temperature place if not consumed immediately.

Winery history
The Folonari family has deep roots in the Brescia area and has been involved in wine production since the late 18th century. At the end of the 19th century the headquarters were moved to Brescia, and in the early 20th century the family acquired the historic Ruffino winery. In the 1960s Nino Folonari began a shift toward quality with the acquisition of estates in Chianti. In 2000 Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari established Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute, which brings together several estates in Tuscany, while the Folonari brand offers an extensive range of table wines and appellation wines.
Production philosophy
Enhance the production areas, combine tradition and innovation, and focus on grape quality to produce wines that are distinctive and closely tied to their territory; the company's plan includes investments in the estates and attention to the diversity of terroirs.
Terroir and vineyards
Headquarters and estates are mainly in Tuscany, with production and a presence also in north-eastern regions such as Veneto and in areas like the Collio; the company’s history begins in the Bresciano and includes references to territories around Lake Garda and beyond.
Awards and recognitions
The "Vinitaly Territory Ambassador" award was presented to Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute.
