This Jeroboam from 1998 by Tenute del Cabreo, offered by Folonari, is presented in a wooden case and suits collectors or special occasions. The Toscana IGT designation indicates regional origin without specifying grape variety or techniques; the format and age immediately convey a historical and display value that suggests careful storage and attentive tasting.

On opening the wine shows a garnet colour with orange highlights, consistent with extended evolution. On the nose tertiary, composed impressions prevail, such as reduced ripe fruit, leather, tobacco and undergrowth, while on the palate the tannic texture is now smoothed but still supported by a central structure that maintains balance. The persistence is measured and the sip requires attention to capture its nuances. It is advisable to serve at moderate temperature and pair with flavourful meat dishes, game or aged cheeses; to appreciate it fully, consider decanting depending on storage conditions.

Winery history
The Folonari family has deep roots in the Brescia area and has been involved in wine production since the late 18th century. At the end of the 19th century the headquarters were moved to Brescia, and in the early 20th century the family acquired the historic Ruffino winery. In the 1960s Nino Folonari began a shift toward quality with the acquisition of estates in Chianti. In 2000 Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari established Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute, which brings together several estates in Tuscany, while the Folonari brand offers an extensive range of table wines and appellation wines.
Production philosophy
Enhance the production areas, combine tradition and innovation, and focus on grape quality to produce wines that are distinctive and closely tied to their territory; the company's plan includes investments in the estates and attention to the diversity of terroirs.
Terroir and vineyards
Headquarters and estates are mainly in Tuscany, with production and a presence also in north-eastern regions such as Veneto and in areas like the Collio; the company’s history begins in the Bresciano and includes references to territories around Lake Garda and beyond.
