Cabreo Il Borgo Toscana IGT 2013, produced by Tenute del Cabreo and marketed by Folonari, presents itself as a red wine with a Tuscan character, packaged in a Cassa Legno case that eases storage and transport. In the glass it shows a deep ruby colour; the aromatic profile recalls ripe red fruits and discreet herbaceous notes, while on the palate a balanced structure emerges with present but not aggressive tannins and a pleasant persistence. The overall tone remains measured, without excess, intended for mindful enjoyment.

It is recommended to serve it at a moderate temperature to highlight aromas and structure; it pairs with red meat dishes, roasts and aged cheeses, but can also support traditional Tuscan cuisine. The cassa legno packaging also makes it suitable as a gift or for those who wish to store bottles in an orderly way. For information on storage or pairing, it is always useful to consult the label and the producer's guidance.

Winery history
The Folonari family has deep roots in the Brescia area and has been involved in wine production since the late 18th century. At the end of the 19th century the headquarters were moved to Brescia, and in the early 20th century the family acquired the historic Ruffino winery. In the 1960s Nino Folonari began a shift toward quality with the acquisition of estates in Chianti. In 2000 Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari established Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute, which brings together several estates in Tuscany, while the Folonari brand offers an extensive range of table wines and appellation wines.
Production philosophy
Enhance the production areas, combine tradition and innovation, and focus on grape quality to produce wines that are distinctive and closely tied to their territory; the company's plan includes investments in the estates and attention to the diversity of terroirs.
Terroir and vineyards
Headquarters and estates are mainly in Tuscany, with production and a presence also in north-eastern regions such as Veneto and in areas like the Collio; the company’s history begins in the Bresciano and includes references to territories around Lake Garda and beyond.
Awards and recognitions
The "Vinitaly Territory Ambassador" award was presented to Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute.
