Cabreo Il Borgo Toscana IGT 2016 is a red wine offered by Tenute del Cabreo and Folonari. The label, listed as Toscana IGT with the 2016 vintage, is presented in a wooden case. It comes across as an example of a contemporary Tuscan label, aimed at those seeking a structured yet approachable red. The wooden case in the format offered here also highlights its commercial positioning and suits convivial occasions or as a gift.

On the palate it shows balance and a progression that favors table consumption: it is suitable to accompany meat dishes, preparations from Italian cuisine and a selection of cheeses. It is advisable to serve it at a temperature slightly cooler than room temperature to better appreciate its drinkability. For those who prefer to keep a few bottles, it is appropriate to follow the usual storage recommendations for red wines, in a cool place with controlled humidity.

Winery history
The Folonari family has deep roots in the Brescia area and has been involved in wine production since the late 18th century. At the end of the 19th century the headquarters were moved to Brescia, and in the early 20th century the family acquired the historic Ruffino winery. In the 1960s Nino Folonari began a shift toward quality with the acquisition of estates in Chianti. In 2000 Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari established Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute, which brings together several estates in Tuscany, while the Folonari brand offers an extensive range of table wines and appellation wines.
Production philosophy
Enhance the production areas, combine tradition and innovation, and focus on grape quality to produce wines that are distinctive and closely tied to their territory; the company's plan includes investments in the estates and attention to the diversity of terroirs.
Terroir and vineyards
Headquarters and estates are mainly in Tuscany, with production and a presence also in north-eastern regions such as Veneto and in areas like the Collio; the company’s history begins in the Bresciano and includes references to territories around Lake Garda and beyond.
Awards and recognitions
The "Vinitaly Territory Ambassador" award was presented to Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute.
