Cabreo Il Borgo Toscana IGT 2017 is a red wine offered by Tenute del Cabreo and marketed by Folonari. The bottle is presented in a wooden case. It is a Toscana IGT that conveys a sober, recognizable style without affectation, suitable for those seeking a red to pair with everyday dishes and convivial moments. Available information is limited to vintage and designation; therefore the description sticks to general impressions and to the quality perceived in the glass.

In the glass it shows a ruby colour with lively highlights. On the nose there are aromas of ripe red fruit, hints of darker fruit and delicate spicy notes; no grape varieties or specific techniques are indicated. On the palate it is balanced, with present but well-integrated tannins, acidity that supports the drinkability and a medium-persistent finish. Serve at about 16–18 °C; it pairs well with roasted meats, flavourful pasta dishes and semi-mature cheeses. This is a wine to enjoy now or to keep for a short period depending on storage preferences.

Winery history
The Folonari family has deep roots in the Brescia area and has been involved in wine production since the late 18th century. At the end of the 19th century the headquarters were moved to Brescia, and in the early 20th century the family acquired the historic Ruffino winery. In the 1960s Nino Folonari began a shift toward quality with the acquisition of estates in Chianti. In 2000 Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari established Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute, which brings together several estates in Tuscany, while the Folonari brand offers an extensive range of table wines and appellation wines.
Production philosophy
Enhance the production areas, combine tradition and innovation, and focus on grape quality to produce wines that are distinctive and closely tied to their territory; the company's plan includes investments in the estates and attention to the diversity of terroirs.
Terroir and vineyards
Headquarters and estates are mainly in Tuscany, with production and a presence also in north-eastern regions such as Veneto and in areas like the Collio; the company’s history begins in the Bresciano and includes references to territories around Lake Garda and beyond.
Awards and recognitions
The "Vinitaly Territory Ambassador" award was presented to Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute.
