Cabreo Il Borgo Toscana IGT 2020 in Magnum format, offered by Tenute del Cabreo through Folonari and packaged in a wooden case, is a red wine of intense yet measured expression. In the glass it shows a deep ruby color with slight violet hues; on the nose there are suggestions of ripe red fruit, plum and cherry, accompanied by delicate spicy notes and earthy hints. On the palate, a tannic structure that is present but well integrated is confirmed, supported by a balance of softness and freshness that makes the drinking harmonious and pleasant without excess.

This Magnum format encourages convivial sharing: it pairs with roasted meats, milder game, structured pasta dishes and hard cheeses. It is recommended to serve at 16–18 °C and, when possible, to decant for about thirty minutes to appreciate its olfactory nuances; the magnum bottle tends to favour slower development, ideal for those who wish to store or present the wine on different occasions. Winery history

The Folonari family has deep roots in the Brescia area and has been involved in wine production since the late 18th century. At the end of the 19th century the headquarters were moved to Brescia, and in the early 20th century the family acquired the historic Ruffino winery. In the 1960s Nino Folonari began a shift toward quality with the acquisition of estates in Chianti. In 2000 Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari established Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute, which brings together several estates in Tuscany, while the Folonari brand offers an extensive range of table wines and appellation wines.
