The Bolgheri Rosato DOC Campo al Mare from Folonari presents a straightforward, easily readable profile consistent with a rosé meant for convivial occasions. It shows a delicate, transparent pink color; on the nose it offers recalls of red fruit and small flowers, accompanied by hints of citrus that add lift. On the palate it is fresh and flowing, characterized by a balance between softness and liveliness, with a slight salinity that supports the flavor structure and a pleasant dry finish.

It works well as an aperitif or paired with fish starters and summer vegetable dishes, salads and relatively simple grilled preparations. It suits informal occasions and light meals where freshness remains central. Serve slightly chilled, around 10–12 °C, and consume within a few years to appreciate its original vivacity.

Winery history
The Folonari family has deep roots in the Brescia area and has been involved in wine production since the late 18th century. At the end of the 19th century the headquarters were moved to Brescia, and in the early 20th century the family acquired the historic Ruffino winery. In the 1960s Nino Folonari began a shift toward quality with the acquisition of estates in Chianti. In 2000 Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari established Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute, which brings together several estates in Tuscany, while the Folonari brand offers an extensive range of table wines and appellation wines.
Production philosophy
Enhance the production areas, combine tradition and innovation, and focus on grape quality to produce wines that are distinctive and closely tied to their territory; the company's plan includes investments in the estates and attention to the diversity of terroirs.
Terroir and vineyards
Headquarters and estates are mainly in Tuscany, with production and a presence also in north-eastern regions such as Veneto and in areas like the Collio; the company’s history begins in the Bresciano and includes references to territories around Lake Garda and beyond.
