Suitable for rustic dishes and land-based cuisine, it pairs well with roasts, light game, savory sauces and aged cheeses; it is also interesting with tomato- and mushroom-based preparations. Excellent with grilled foods and spicier dishes, it supports rich preparations without overwhelming them. Serve at around 16–18 °C, decanting for a few dozen minutes if greater aromatic openness is desired; a wine to enjoy at the table, direct but with a few nuances to discover.
