The Carte Blanche Collection 241 in Mathusalem format, presented in a wooden case by Champagne De Louis Roederer, represents one of the most exclusive and impressive offerings from the renowned champagne house. This special edition is a tribute to the art of champagne and the excellence of Louis Roederer, a house with a long history of producing superior quality champagne.

The Mathusalem format, which corresponds to six liters of champagne, or the equivalent of eight standard bottles, is known for its optimal aging capacity, allowing the champagne to develop even greater complexity and finesse over time. Presentation in a wooden case not only protects this precious bottle but also adds a touch of elegance and makes the whole thing a collector's item or the center of attraction at any important celebration.

The "Collection 241" refers to the 241st vintage in Louis Roederer's history, signaling the historical importance and uniqueness of this cuvée. This champagne expresses Louis Roederer's mastery in the art of blending, combining grapes selected with the utmost care from the maison's best vineyards. La Carte Blanche is known for its rich and structured style, the result of the use of perfectly ripened grapes and expert winemaking.

This champagne stands out for its brilliant golden color and its fine and persistent perlage, which anticipate the richness and complexity of the aromatic bouquet. On the nose, it offers a range of aromas ranging from ripe white pulp fruits, such as pear and apple, to notes of dried fruit, honey and yeast, with a touch of vanilla and sweet spices that reflect the elegant maturation in the bottle.

On the palate, Carte Blanche Collection 241 demonstrates extraordinary harmony and depth, with a rich fruit expression balanced by lively acidity and refined creaminess. The finish is long and memorable, leaving an impression of elegance and complexity that only Louis Roederer champagnes can offer.

Ideal as a luxury aperitif or paired with sophisticated dishes, the Mathusalem by Carte Blanche Collection 241 by Champagne De Louis Roederer is a symbol of celebration, which promises to make the most special occasions unforgettable. This exclusive cuvée is also a prestigious gift and a magnificent addition to any collection of high-quality wines and champagnes, testifying to the uncompromising commitment to excellence that characterizes Louis Roederer.

Cristal: a prestige cuvée created in 1876, the symbol of the house. Approximately 240 hectares of estate vineyards, distributed across 410 parcels in the main terroirs of Champagne. Parcel-by-parcel approach to winemaking and extended maturation in the cellar. A well-established commitment to organic and biodynamic practices; significant portions of the vineyard have been converted to organic and biodynamic farming. Annual production of approximately 3.5 million bottles, with a broad international presence.
Winery history
The house dates back to the 18th century: the business began as a small négociant and over time was inherited and renamed by Louis Roederer. In the 19th century the maison consolidated its position in foreign markets and in 1876 created its flagship cuvée, Cristal, at the request of Tsar Alexander II. During the 20th century and in recent years the family continued to expand the vineyards and the group also acquired other international wine estates.
Production philosophy
Priority is given to grape quality and respect for the land: parcel-by-parcel winemaking, extended cellar ageing, and a growing focus on sustainable viticulture. In recent decades the estate has begun converting to organic and biodynamic practices to enhance the terroir and biodiversity.
Terroir and vineyards
Estate-owned vineyards spread across the Champagne Grands Crus, notably the Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne and Côte des Blancs; headquarters and principal winery in Reims.
