Produced exclusively with the classic grape varieties of Champagne – Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Meunier – this blend stands out for its balance between freshness and robustness. The prolonged aging on the lees gives the wine an enveloping complexity, with aromas of ripe white fruits, bread crust, and subtle mineral notes typical of the terroir. The bright golden color anticipates a fine and persistent perlage, which accompanies a refined and harmonious palate, capable of evoking timeless elegance. Perfect for celebrations and special moments, it pairs excellently with seafood appetizers, raw fish, and crustacean-based dishes, delicately enhancing the aroma of every course. Those seeking a expertly blended Chardonnay will find in this bottle an authentic sensory experience of the most classic Champagne.

Discover the story and wines of Champagne Louis Roederer.

Champagne house based in Reims, renowned for its prestige cuvée Cristal and for direct control over much of its fruit through estate-owned vineyards. Strong commitment to organic and biodynamic practices.
Region: Champagne
Country: Francia
Founded: 1776
Grapes: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier
Cristal: a prestige cuvée created in 1876, the symbol of the house. Approximately 240 hectares of estate vineyards, distributed across 410 parcels in the main terroirs of Champagne. Parcel-by-parcel approach to winemaking and extended maturation in the cellar. A well-established commitment to organic and biodynamic practices; significant portions of the vineyard have been converted to organic and biodynamic farming. Annual production of approximately 3.5 million bottles, with a broad international presence.
Winery history
The house dates back to the 18th century: the business began as a small négociant and over time was inherited and renamed by Louis Roederer. In the 19th century the maison consolidated its position in foreign markets and in 1876 created its flagship cuvée, Cristal, at the request of Tsar Alexander II. During the 20th century and in recent years the family continued to expand the vineyards and the group also acquired other international wine estates.
Production philosophy
Priority is given to grape quality and respect for the land: parcel-by-parcel winemaking, extended cellar ageing, and a growing focus on sustainable viticulture. In recent decades the estate has begun converting to organic and biodynamic practices to enhance the terroir and biodiversity.
Terroir and vineyards
Estate-owned vineyards spread across the Champagne Grands Crus, notably the Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne and Côte des Blancs; headquarters and principal winery in Reims.
