The Carte Blanche Collection 245 Demi-Sec, presented in an elegant case by Champagne De Louis Roederer, is a special edition that exemplifies the perfect balance between sweetness and complexity, a distinctive feature of this prestigious champagne house. This particular Demi-Sec cuvée reflects Roederer's ability to harmonize aromatic richness with subtle freshness, creating a unique and memorable tasting experience.

In detail, the name "Demi-Sec" indicates a champagne that is slightly sweeter than the Brut version, making it particularly suitable for closing a meal or accompanying desserts that are not too sugary. Collection 245, as the name suggests, celebrates the 245th vintage of the maison, testifying to Louis Roederer's commitment to exploring and enhancing every facet of the terroir and the various vintages.

This champagne, enclosed in a case designed to underline its exclusivity, is the result of a careful selection of grapes, mainly Pinot Noir for structure and depth, Chardonnay for elegance and freshness, and Pinot Meunier for fruitiness and softness. The addition of a moderate dose of dosage liquor at the time of disgorgement gives this cuvée its characteristic Demi-Sec balance.

In appearance, the Carte Blanche Collection 245 Demi-Sec has a bright golden color, crossed by a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose, inviting aromas of ripe fruit, honey, white flowers and notes of brioche open up, with a subtle hint of sweet spices that adds complexity. These aromas are transformed into a rich and harmonious flavor palette, where the sweetness of the fruit is balanced by a lively acidity, creating a full but never cloying palate experience.

Ideal as an accompaniment at the end of a meal or paired with a variety of desserts, the Carte Blanche Collection 245 Demi-Sec shines for its versatility. It can be served with fruit cakes, crème caramels, or even blue cheeses, offering an elegant and satisfying conclusion to any culinary experience.

In conclusion, the Carte Blanche Collection 245 Demi-Sec Boxed Champagne De Louis Roederer is a tribute to the excellence and art of champagne, a celebration of taste and tradition that continues to enchant lovers of this historic sparkling wine.

Discover the story and wines of Champagne Louis Roederer.

Champagne house based in Reims, renowned for its prestige cuvée Cristal and for direct control over much of its fruit through estate-owned vineyards. Strong commitment to organic and biodynamic practices.
Region: Champagne
Country: Francia
Founded: 1776
Grapes: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier
Cristal: a prestige cuvée created in 1876, the symbol of the house. Approximately 240 hectares of estate vineyards, distributed across 410 parcels in the main terroirs of Champagne. Parcel-by-parcel approach to winemaking and extended maturation in the cellar. A well-established commitment to organic and biodynamic practices; significant portions of the vineyard have been converted to organic and biodynamic farming. Annual production of approximately 3.5 million bottles, with a broad international presence.
Winery history
The house dates back to the 18th century: the business began as a small négociant and over time was inherited and renamed by Louis Roederer. In the 19th century the maison consolidated its position in foreign markets and in 1876 created its flagship cuvée, Cristal, at the request of Tsar Alexander II. During the 20th century and in recent years the family continued to expand the vineyards and the group also acquired other international wine estates.
Production philosophy
Priority is given to grape quality and respect for the land: parcel-by-parcel winemaking, extended cellar ageing, and a growing focus on sustainable viticulture. In recent decades the estate has begun converting to organic and biodynamic practices to enhance the terroir and biodiversity.
Terroir and vineyards
Estate-owned vineyards spread across the Champagne Grands Crus, notably the Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne and Côte des Blancs; headquarters and principal winery in Reims.
