In the glass it shows a pale straw color with lively effervescence that carries the palate. On the nose there are notes of citrus, apple and subtle floral hints, giving an impression of cleanliness and balance rather than extreme complexity. On the palate it confirms a pronounced freshness and a lean structure, with well-balanced acidity and a saline touch that leads to a dry finish. Winery history
Founded in 1897 by the Oria de Rueda family in Requena. In 1993 it became the first winery outside the Penedès to obtain the DO Cava. New management since 2013; in 2023 Portobello Capital joined the shareholding to support expansion.
Production philosophy
Uncompromising commitment to quality (IFS and BRC certifications), product and process innovation, customer focus and certified sustainability practices (SWfCP). Provides B2B solutions and market-adapted portfolios.
Terroir and vineyards
Located in the Utiel‑Requena area (inland Valencia province), at 600–900 m elevation; continental climate with wide temperature swings that promote aromatic concentration and natural acidity.
