Albert Pic's Chablis "Saint Pierre" is a celebration of tradition and excellence in the heart of the Chablis region. This white wine, produced by the historic Albert Pic winery, one of the most respected and renowned names in Burgundy, represents a point of reference for those seeking to explore the pure and refined expression of the Chardonnay grape in one of its chosen areas.

"Saint Pierre" evokes with its name the historical richness and dedication to quality that Albert Pic has maintained over the decades. Albert Pic wines are known for their ability to capture the essence of Chablis' unique Kimmeridgian terroir, characterized by soil rich in limestone and marine fossils, giving the wines a distinctive minerality and lively acidity, key elements that define Chablis style.

When tasted, the Chablis "Saint Pierre" stands out for its elegance and finesse. The color is a light straw yellow, typical of young and fresh Chardonnays. On the nose, the wine offers a complex aromatic bouquet, with notes of white flowers, white pulp fruit such as apple and pear, and a subtle mineral vein reminiscent of flint, all enriched by a light note of citrus.

In the mouth, the freshness is immediate, with a crunchy acidity that balances perfectly with the richness of the fruit. Chablis' distinctive minerality is evident, providing a complexity that persists into the long finish. The structure of the wine is balanced, with a subtle texture that makes it approachable yet capable of aging gracefully.

Chablis "Saint Pierre" is versatile at the table, capable of accompanying a wide range of dishes. It pairs beautifully with seafood, especially oysters and other shellfish, fish dishes, poultry, and can be an excellent aperitif. Its freshness and minerality also make it an ideal companion for culinary preparations based on fresh herbs and spring vegetables.

In summary, Albert Pic's Chablis "Saint Pierre" is not just a wine, but an experience that takes the wine enthusiast into the heart of Chablis, offering a sip of this region's rich winemaking history through the lens of craftsmanship and the passion of Albert Pic.

Winery history
Albert Pic & Fils is one of the oldest houses in Chablis; many commercial and technical sheets record the year of foundation as 1755. The estate was acquired and relaunched by Baron Patrick de Ladoucette, who began a programme to modernize the winery.
Production philosophy
The production style aims to express the purity and minerality typical of Chablis: controlled fermentations and aging that favors bottle maturation rather than heavy use of wood, to preserve the expressiveness of the terroir and of the Chardonnay.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate's vineyards are located in the Chablis area, on Kimmeridgian soils rich in fossils and marls that contribute to the wines' characteristic salinity and minerality. The climate is typically continental.
