Produced exclusively with Chardonnay grapes, as is tradition for Chablis, the "Saint Pierre" Magnum by Albert Pic shows a bright straw yellow color, a sign of its freshness and vitality. The characteristic minerality of Chablis intertwines beautifully with the fruit, leading to an elegant, clean finish that leaves a lasting impression. Winery history
Albert Pic & Fils is one of the oldest houses in Chablis; many commercial and technical sheets record the year of foundation as 1755. The estate was acquired and relaunched by Baron Patrick de Ladoucette, who began a programme to modernize the winery.
Production philosophy
The production style aims to express the purity and minerality typical of Chablis: controlled fermentations and aging that favors bottle maturation rather than heavy use of wood, to preserve the expressiveness of the terroir and of the Chardonnay.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate's vineyards are located in the Chablis area, on Kimmeridgian soils rich in fossils and marls that contribute to the wines' characteristic salinity and minerality. The climate is typically continental.
