The Champagne Blanc de Blancs Second Skin by Ruinart shows a fine, persistent mousse and a bright, straw-reflective color. On the nose it offers a restrained, refined profile with hints of white flowers, citrus peel and mineral nuances that convey freshness and precision. On the palate it displays a lively framework, a slim texture and good acidity that supports the drinking, with returns of white-fleshed fruit and a pleasant, never excessive persistence.

It works well as an aperitif and alongside light dishes of fish, shellfish and delicate starters; it can also accompany fresh cheeses and vegetable preparations. Serve well chilled in tulip glasses to highlight the aromatic impressions and the perlage. To preserve its organoleptic qualities, keep at a steady temperature and consume within a reasonable period; its best expression lies in the clarity and finesse of its aromas.

Discover the story and wines of Ruinart.

Maison Ruinart, the oldest established Champagne house, founded on 1 September 1729 in Reims; renowned for a Chardonnay-driven style and its historic chalk cellars (crayères).
Region: Champagne (Reims)
Country: France
Winery history
Founded on 1 September 1729 by Nicolas Ruinart, inspired by the monk Dom Thierry Ruinart. In the 18th century the House acquired the underground crayères in Reims for ageing; the family became Ruinart de Brimont in 1817. The House continues its historic activity in Reims and the Champagne region.
Production philosophy

Terroir and vineyards
Champagne region (France): grapes come mainly from the Côte des Blancs and the northern slopes of the Montagne de Reims. Historic vineyards include Sillery (Grand Cru) and Taissy (Premier Cru). The historic crayères are dug beneath Reims.
