Winery history
This cuvée is produced by Champagne Legrand‑Latour, a family-owned house based in Fleury‑la‑Rivière in the Marne Valley. Under Thibault Legrand's leadership the estate has adopted a terroir-driven approach that combines geological and oenological insight, showcasing the area's varied subsoil layers and progressively regaining production independence from the local cooperative.
Production philosophy
Terroir- and geology-focused approach: the wines are conceived to express the characteristics of the different soil horizons. Low-intervention winemaking and attention to organic/biodynamic viticulture are key elements of production.
Terroir and vineyards
Vineyards located in the communes of Vandières and Verneuil, in the Grand Vallée de la Marne. Marl, limestone, fine sand and sandstone soils derived from marine deposits of the Ypresian age, which impart minerality and tension to the wines.
