Domaine Chanson's Chassagne-Montrachet is a prestigious white wine from Burgundy, France, specifically from the Chassagne-Montrachet appellation, renowned for producing some of the best Chardonnay-based white wines in the world. Domaine Chanson is one of Burgundy's historic wineries, founded in 1750, and is recognized for its wines that combine elegance, complexity and longevity, the result of meticulous work in the vineyard and cellar.

Chassagne-Montrachet, located in the southern part of the Côte de Beaune, is famous for its limestone and clay soils which give the wines a notable minerality and structure, as well as a rich aromatic palette. The microclimate of the area, with cold winters and hot summers, further contributes to the concentration of flavors and acid balance of the wines.

Domaine Chanson's Chassagne-Montrachet stands out for its environmentally friendly approach and for the precision in the selection of the grapes, which come exclusively from plots carefully chosen for their quality. The wine is vinified with the aim of enhancing the varietal characteristics of the Chardonnay and the specific terroir of Chassagne-Montrachet, through the thoughtful use of new wood and careful management of the aging in barrique, which contributes to an aromatic complexity without overpower the freshness and purity of the fruit.

At sight, the wine has a brilliant golden yellow color. On the nose, it offers a wide spectrum of aromas, from notes of white pulp fruit, such as apple and pear, to nuances of citrus, white flowers, vanilla and roasting, with a subtle mineral background. In the mouth, Chassagne-Montrachet reveals extraordinary complexity and depth, with a rich fruit expression balanced by lively acidity and marked minerality leading to a long and persistent finish.

This wine is an excellent choice to accompany refined dishes of fish, shellfish, white meats in creamy sauces and soft cheeses. Its structure and complexity also make it suitable for prolonged aging, which allows it to develop further aromatic and gustatory nuances.
