The Chianti Classico DOCG from Poggio dei Salici shows an authentic, harmonious and flavorful character, with a vivid ruby color that invites you to the glass. On the nose there is a predominance of ripe red fruits, cherry and wild strawberry, accompanied by light floral notes and a hint of Mediterranean herbs and black pepper; the whole is fresh and linear, never overpowering. Acid tension and a pleasant sapidity support the palate, while the tannins, of good finesse, provide structure without weighing it down.

On the palate it is balanced and smooth: the fruit returns clearly, supported by a tannic texture that is present but polished and by a pleasant persistence that leaves room for spicy notes. It is an ideal companion to everyday Italian cuisine — tomato sauces, grilled meats, aged cheeses — and is well suited both to being enjoyed now and to aging a few years in the cellar. Serve slightly chilled to enhance freshness and sapidity.
