The Chianti Classico from Poggio Scalette presents an elegant, restrained profile, suitable for those seeking a wine with a recognizable character without excess. In the glass it shows a clear ruby red with lively highlights. On the nose there are impressions of ripe red fruit, light spice notes and a slightly earthy background; the overall impression remains balanced and clean, without aggressive aromatic components. It is a wine that favors expressive clarity over ostentatious complexity, making it approachable for enthusiasts and newcomers alike.

On the palate it confirms contained tannins and good acidity that support the sip, making it smooth and flavorful. The finish is of medium persistence, with fruity echoes and a subtle mineral note. It pairs well with dishes of traditional Italian cuisine such as simple meat dishes, pasta with sauce and not overly intense aged cheeses. Serve at cool cellar temperature and drink within a medium-short window to appreciate its freshness, or allow moderate aging according to personal preference.

Winery history
Terroir and vineyards
Awards and recognitions
Presenza e riconoscimenti su pubblicazioni e guide di settore (es. menzioni su Der Feinschmecker e Weinwelt; inserimenti in guide come Falstaff).
