The Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG produced by Fattoria di Lamole represents a sublime expression of the unique terroir of Lamole, located in the heart of the Chianti Classico area in Tuscany. This illustrious wine is crafted following the canonical standards of the Riserva designation, which mandates a minimum aging of two years in wood followed by three months of refinement in the bottle.

The Chianti Classico Riserva from Lamole is a wine of profound complexity, primarily made from Sangiovese grapes that are meticulously selected from vineyards situated at a considerable altitude. This favorable position provides an ideal microclimate for a slowly balanced maturation of the grapes, which is reflected in the glass with an elegant structure and well-defined tannins.

Visually, the Chianti Classico Riserva displays an intense ruby red color with garnet reflections that deepen with aging. On the nose, it is distinguished by an aromatic bouquet of ripe red fruits, such as cherry and blueberry, which blend with seductive notes of vanilla, tobacco, and leather, provided by the long stay in oak barrels. On the palate, the wine is rich and substantial, with a harmonious balance between lively acidity and a tense tannic structure that promises great aging potential.

Ideal for pairing with hearty dishes such as roasted meats, game, and aged cheeses, this Chianti Classico Riserva beckons to be tasted on special occasions where the cuisine matches its stature. Each sip tells the story of Lamole, an area renowned for its exceptional wines, and underscores the skill with which Fattoria di Lamole continues to interpret its precious terroir.

Winery history
The Socci family's presence in Lamole dates back centuries, while the Fattoria was consolidated as a business in the 19th century: local sources report that in 1870 notary Giovanni Socci unified the properties and founded the Fattoria di Lamole. In recent decades Paolo Socci has led a major effort to restore the terraced vineyards and historic buildings, renewing the plantings and recovering traditional clones of Sangiovese.
Production philosophy
The estate focuses on preserving the landscape and the local terroir: restoring and maintaining terraced vineyards, selecting traditional Sangiovese clones, and using low‑intervention winemaking practices. Several labels are listed as organic wines on the production sheets; the winery favors limited productions that reflect the identity of the place.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate is located in the village of Lamole, a hamlet of Greve in Chianti. The vineyards are planted on the hilly slopes of the Chianti Classico, with soils rich in alberese/galestro and macigno typical of the area; the microclimate and elevations contribute to the floral and mineral expression of the wines.
Awards and recognitions
Local recognition for the restoration of terraced vineyards and for eco-friendly practices in wine tourism.
