Elegant and measured, this Hine VSOP Cognac displays a clear but never intrusive aromatic profile: on first approach notes of ripe fleshy fruit and dried fruit emerge, with a citrus hint and a spicy thread that adds character. The oak supports the drink without overpowering it and the sip is warm and rounded, with cleanliness and a good balance between softness and freshness; imperceptible tannins and a savory vein accompany a long, satisfying finish. On the aftertaste more delicate hints of honey and a slight toasted note are perceived, pointing to a restrained aging.

Well suited to contemplative drinking, neat or with a splash of water to open up its aromas; ideal after dinner, it accompanies dark chocolate desserts, dried fruit or hard cheeses without covering them. It is a discreet companion for relaxed conversation, offering depth without excess; also excellent with dry pastries and a few ice cubes if a cooler sip is preferred. Serve in a tulip glass, slightly cooler than room temperature, to enjoy it slowly.
