On the palate it confirms itself as round and persistent: the texture is velvety, with notes that recall toasted almond, caramel and a balsamic hint that lengthens the finish. The sip displays a seductive structure, with returns of stewed fruit and a slight citrus peel note supporting the freshness. It is a spirit to be enjoyed neat, preferably in a tulip glass at room temperature, but it also holds up well with a small ice cube. It pairs pleasingly with dark chocolate, aged cheeses or nut-based desserts, excellent as a closing digestif.
