Cornorotto Marzemino IGT - Maculan is a quality red wine produced by the renowned Maculan winery, located in the Veneto region of Italy. Maculan Winery is known for its ability to enhance the unique characteristics of native and international varieties, creating wines that are appreciated both nationally and internationally for their quality and complexity.

Marzemino is an indigenous Italian grape variety, especially known in the Trentino region but also cultivated in the Veneto, where it produces aromatic red wines, with distinctive floral and fruity notes. Cornorotto Marzemino IGT represents Maculan's interpretation of this grape variety, emphasizing the varietal expression and typicality of the terroir.

This wine is produced following careful oenological practices, which include controlled fermentation and an adequate maturation period, sometimes in barriques, to further enrich the aromatic and structural profile of the wine without overpowering the natural characteristics of Marzemino.

At sight, Cornorotto Marzemino IGT has a lively ruby red color, tending towards purple, characteristic of this variety. On the nose, the wine offers an intriguing bouquet with notes of violet, raspberry, cherry and a light spiciness, which reflect the typical aromaticity of Marzemino.

In the mouth, the wine is medium structured, with a fresh acidity and soft tannins that make it pleasantly drinkable and accessible. The aromatic profile is expressed through flavors of ripe red fruit and a delicate floral note, with a clean and persistent finish.

Ideal for pairing with a variety of dishes, Cornorotto Marzemino IGT goes well with light appetizers, not too elaborate white or red meat dishes, fresh and Mediterranean cheeses. It is also an excellent companion for convivial evenings or as a meditation wine thanks to its intriguing aroma.

Winery history
The winery originated from the Maculan family's winemaking activities in Breganze. The current estate was developed from the business founded by grandfather Giovanni Maculan in 1947. In the 1970s Fausto Maculan led a qualitative transformation of the estate, elevating local wines such as Torcolato and expanding the portfolio with modern expressions of red and white wines. Today management also involves his daughters, continuing a path that combines local tradition with winemaking innovation.
Production philosophy
The winemaking approach combines respect for the territory with experimentation: meticulous care in the vineyard and the cellar, revival of local traditions and attention to modern techniques. The estate emphasizes the identity of Breganze grapes while also using international varieties for a wide range of wine styles.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are located in the DOC Breganze area, on the hills at the foot of the Altopiano di Asiago. The area is characterized by microclimates favorable to ripening and by hillside aspects that influence production, particularly of passito wines made from Vespaiola.
