Louis Roederer's Cristal Brut Millésimé is one of the most prestigious and sought-after champagnes in the world, born from the need to create an exceptional champagne for the Tsars of Russia in 1876. Since then, Cristal has become synonymous with excellence and luxury in the champagne scene , representing the maximum expression of Louis Roederer's savoir-faire and heritage.

Produced only in the best vintages, this champagne is a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, coming from the best crus of the Maison. The meticulous attention in the selection of the grapes, together with a long maturation in the cellar, which exceeds 6 years, followed by a further 8 months after disgorgement, gives Cristal its extraordinary complexity, elegance and aging capacity.

In appearance, Cristal Brut Millésimé has a bright golden yellow color, embellished with a fine and persistent perlage, a distinctive sign of its high quality. On the nose, it offers an intense and multi-layered bouquet, with notes of white pulp fruit, ripe citrus, fresh almond and subtle touches of brioche and honey, which evolve wonderfully in the glass.

In the mouth, the champagne reveals itself to be rich and powerful, but at the same time endowed with surprising freshness and finesse. The fruit flavors are balanced by vibrant acidity and saline minerality, leading to a long and memorable finish, with an aftertaste that recalls the purity and complexity perceived on the nose.

Cristal Brut Millésimé is a champagne that lends itself beautifully to special occasions, capable of elevating any moment to a unique experience. It is perfect as a luxury aperitif or paired with refined dishes, such as oysters, fish tartare or dishes based on white meat and mushrooms.

Each bottle of Cristal is presented in its iconic clear glass bottle, originally chosen to satisfy the Tsar's desire to ensure the absence of defects. Today, this packaging not only maintains the characteristics of champagne unaltered but has also become a symbol of prestige and immediate recognition throughout the world.

Louis Roederer's Cristal Brut Millésimé is, therefore, more than a champagne: it is an emblem of history, art and oenological perfection, which continues to seduce and fascinate wine lovers and collectors of every generation.

Cristal: a prestige cuvée created in 1876, the symbol of the house. Approximately 240 hectares of estate vineyards, distributed across 410 parcels in the main terroirs of Champagne. Parcel-by-parcel approach to winemaking and extended maturation in the cellar. A well-established commitment to organic and biodynamic practices; significant portions of the vineyard have been converted to organic and biodynamic farming. Annual production of approximately 3.5 million bottles, with a broad international presence.
Winery history
The house dates back to the 18th century: the business began as a small négociant and over time was inherited and renamed by Louis Roederer. In the 19th century the maison consolidated its position in foreign markets and in 1876 created its flagship cuvée, Cristal, at the request of Tsar Alexander II. During the 20th century and in recent years the family continued to expand the vineyards and the group also acquired other international wine estates.
Production philosophy
Priority is given to grape quality and respect for the land: parcel-by-parcel winemaking, extended cellar ageing, and a growing focus on sustainable viticulture. In recent decades the estate has begun converting to organic and biodynamic practices to enhance the terroir and biodiversity.
Terroir and vineyards
Estate-owned vineyards spread across the Champagne Grands Crus, notably the Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne and Côte des Blancs; headquarters and principal winery in Reims.
