Of a bright ruby red, the 2024 Dolcetto d'Alba by Piero Benevelli offers an immediate and honest profile. On the nose it opens with fresh red fruits and a light floral note, with hints of cherry and small berries that don't overpower. You also perceive delicate aromatic herbs and a slightly mineral background that gives real clarity. The character is straightforward and pleasant: good lively acidity, gentle but present tannins and a slim body that invites the sip.

On the palate it confirms its everyday vocation, with a soft texture and a sapidity that supports drinkability; the finish is direct, with echoes of fruit and a slight bitterness that cleanses the palate. Excellent with Piedmontese appetizers, cold cuts, pasta with sauce, mushroom dishes and soft cheeses, it also lends itself to youthful consumption but withstands a few years in the cellar. Recommended for everyday dining and for those seeking a frank, versatile wine; serve slightly chilled to highlight its freshness and vivacity.
