Winery history
The Borgogno family has been active in Cannubi for generations. The winery of Fratelli Serio e Battista has stood on the summit of the Cannubi cru since 1897. The family's history is presented on the estate's website and in informational materials that emphasize the passing down of the craft through multiple generations.
Production philosophy
Strong focus on vineyard work and cellar practices that preserve the character of the place: fermentations in large wooden vats, extended macerations, and the use of large-capacity Slavonian oak casks for aging. The approach combines tradition with adaptation to the vintage, aiming to express the identity of each vineyard.
Terroir and vineyards
Located in the municipality of Barolo, the winery overlooks the renowned Cannubi cru in the Langhe. Cannubi is recognized as one of the most important crus for Nebbiolo and for the production of Barolo; the estate owns vineyards on the main slopes of the hill.
