Echezeaux Grand Cru "En Orveaux" from the renowned Domaine Clerget is a sublime example that captures the essence of the Burgundy terroir. This wine is produced from carefully selected vines in the heart of the Echezeaux denomination, one of the most prestigious areas for the production of Pinot Noir.

The uniqueness of "En Orveaux" lies in its unique microclimate and soil rich in mineral elements, which impart remarkable complexity and depth to the wine. The color is an intense ruby red with garnet reflections, typical of long-aged wines. On the nose, it opens with enveloping aromas of black cherry, sweet spices like vanilla, notes of tobacco, and a subtle touch of damp earth, making the bouquet incredibly elegant and seductive.

On the palate, Echezeaux Grand Cru "En Orveaux" presents itself with a perfect balance between acidity and tannins, being structured yet velvety. The flavors of ripe red fruit blend with impressions of chocolate and a hint of black pepper, leading to a long and persistent finish that leaves a spicy and pleasantly warm trace.

This wine is ideal for aging in the cellar for a few years, as its structure is set to evolve and mature, revealing new nuances and intensities. Perfect to pair with rich dishes such as red meat roasts, game, and aged cheeses, Echezeaux Grand Cru "En Orveaux" from Domaine Clerget represents a unique experience for every high-end wine enthusiast.

With only a limited production each year, each bottle of this wine is a true celebration of quality and French winemaking tradition, crafted with undeniable mastery and dedication.

Winery history
The Clerget family has been established in Burgundy for centuries; the official website traces its roots back to 1268 and a family succession spanning more than twenty generations. Some publications also report the acquisition of additional vineyards in 2022, increasing the holdings reported by specialist distributors.
Production philosophy
A respectful approach to the land and traditional practices combined with controlled experimentation: fermentations with indigenous yeasts, careful vineyard work and techniques designed to preserve the expression of individual terroirs rather than standardize the style.
Terroir and vineyards
Located in the heart of the Côte de Beaune, with vineyards and production ties to Volnay, Pommard and parcels in Meursault, the estate cultivates several Premier Crus in Volnay and also owns notable parcels such as the Clos de Vougeot, mentioned in commercial descriptions.
