Erse Moscamento 1911 from Tenuta di Fessina is born on the slopes of Etna, a unique territory suited to the Nerello Mascalese grape variety, the protagonist of this Etna Rosso DOC. The vineyard extends over volcanic soils rich in minerals, which give the wine a distinctive and vertical character, capable of expressing the elegance and complexity typical of this corner of Sicily.

Vinified with methods attentive to preserving the integrity of the grapes, Erse Moscamento 1911 matures in oak barrels, acquiring a balanced structure and a refined aromatic bouquet. On the nose, it opens with scents of small red fruits, light spices, and earthy notes, while on the palate it is harmonious, with velvety tannins and a pleasant freshness that recalls the sapidity of the Etna terroir.

Perfect paired with white meats, Mediterranean traditional dishes, and semi-aged cheeses, this Etna Rosso tells the story of a volcanic territory through a glass of rare personality and character. An authentic sensory experience, where minerality meets the varietal finesse of Nerello Mascalese.

Estate and vineyards on the slopes of Mount Etna, with a strong connection to the Rovittello area. Cru "Il Musmeci" is dedicated to the Musmeci family: 100% Nerello Mascalese for the Riserva; the cru's technical sheet lists historic vineyards, the age of the vines and a production figure specified for that particular wine. Founders: Silvia Maestrelli and Roberto Silva; an agricultural project founded on an approach that combines vineyard care and hospitality. Lineup of wines focused on Etna DOC and tasting/hospitality offerings.
Winery history
The project began with the arrival of Silvia Maestrelli and her husband Roberto Silva and the subsequent acquisition of small plots in the Rovittello area. Operations were formally established in 2007, with the involvement of specialist consultants and collaborators who helped shape the estate’s style.
Production philosophy
The winery presents itself as "a place of beauty between land and spirit": its approach emphasizes the expression of Etna's volcanic terroir, respect for historic vineyards, and an artisanal interpretation of viticultural and cellar practices.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are located on the slopes of Mount Etna, characterized by volcanic soils, terraces and historic alberello-trained vines. For the CRU "Il Musmeci" the technical sheet indicates a north-east exposure, an altitude of around 700 m, deep soils and a composition of Nerello Mascalese with the presence of Nerello Cappuccio, Carricante and Minnella in the mixed parcels.
