Barolo 2021 by Livia Fontana shows the noble character of Nebbiolo with grace and restraint. On the nose it opens with rose petals and ripe cherry, then sweet spice notes come forward, a slight earthy hint and a balsamic touch that add complexity. The aromatic texture is fine and unshowy, giving the impression of a wine that favors elegance and precision over opulence.

On the palate it confirms a solid structure: tannins are present but well integrated by acidity that keeps the sip lively; the body is medium-full and the finish leaves a persistence of dried red fruit and subtle mineral notes. A wine that pairs well with structured meat dishes, braises and aged cheeses; it shows best after decanting or with a few years in the bottle in the cellar. Serve cool, in a large glass to let the aromas breathe.
