Winery history
The Ricci Curbastro family has a long agricultural tradition rooted in Romagna and Franciacorta. The estate in Capriolo has developed over time with the construction of an underground cellar in the grounds of Villa Evelina and the creation of the Museo Agricolo e del Vino, opened in 1986 at the initiative of Gualberto Ricci Curbastro. Over the years the property has expanded its activities to include agritourism, direct sales and the production of Metodo Classico and still wines.
Production philosophy
The estate combines respect for tradition with contemporary agricultural practices, with a focus on sustainability: it is certified as "Azienda Sostenibile" under the Equalitas standard and promotes environmental management practices and the reduction of energy consumption.
Terroir and vineyards
Located within the Franciacorta appellation, the winery is in Capriolo. Fermentations and the ageing of the Franciacorta take place in underground facilities carved out of the villa’s historic park; the area is also linked to the production of Curtefranca and to the Sebino IGT.
