Descrizione

This Franciacorta DOCG Satèn Brut in magnum format from Mirabella shows a profile that favors softness and elegance. In the glass it displays fine perlage and a delicate effervescence; the colour is a luminous straw. The bouquet suggests ripe white fruit and white flowers, with light hints of bread crust and fresh almond emerging on the finish. Acidity is present but well integrated, providing balance and a mouthfeel that is more creamy than sharp.

The magnum format is suitable for convivial occasions and for those seeking a bottle that maintains harmony over time: the larger mass of wine tends to encourage a slower evolution in bottle. Winery history

Founded in 1979 by Teresio Schiavi with Giacomo Cavalli; the Mirabella vineyard produced its first wine in 1981. Initially located in Paderno Franciacorta, moved to Rodengo Saiano in 1982. Currently manages about 45 hectares registered to the DOCG Franciacorta.

Production philosophy

Production focused on quality, territorial protection and sustainability: an integrated pest-management protocol favoring biological methods, multi-residue testing, use of 100% renewable energy since 2012 (COFER certificate), and reduction of allergens/preservatives (e.g. Demetra line without added sulfites). Family-run (Schiavi) with emphasis on Pinot Blanc.

Terroir and vineyards

About 45 hectares of vineyards in the central-eastern Franciacorta area (communes of Paderno Franciacorta, Passirano, Bornato, Provaglio d’Iseo); on medium-textured morainic soils, fresh and well-drained.
