Frido is the first London Dry Gin produced in Basilicata, a tribute to the unspoiled nature of the Pollino National Park and the stream from which it takes its name. Frido is born among the ancient loricate pines that characterize the Pollino massif, a territory of extraordinary biodiversity from which some of the botanicals used in the recipe come. Handpicked along the course of the stream, these essences give the distillate an authentic identity and a unique terroir, deeply connected to the Lucanian landscape.

Artisanally produced using a one-shot method in small batches and distilled in a copper still, Frido is made from a careful selection of local and traditional botanicals. Mountain juniper, the protagonist of the aromatic profile, combines with dog rose, bay leaf, and wild fennel from the Lucanian valleys, creating a gin with an herbaceous, elegant, and harmonious character, enriched by delicate floral nuances. The presentation is meticulously crafted, with a refined painted bottle, green label, and personalized cap that enhance its identity.

Visually, it appears crystal clear and bright. On the nose, the fine notes of mountain juniper immediately emerge, followed by fresh herbal scents and a delicate floral undertone. On the palate, the entry is fresh and rounded, with evident hints of coriander seeds; the taste profile is dry, clean, and persistent, perfectly balanced by angelica root, which gives structure and harmony to the sip.

Extremely versatile, Frido is ideal for preparing classic cocktails like Negroni and Martini, but it also shines when served in a simple highball, where its aromatic characteristics are particularly fresh and pleasant.

The quality of this distillate has been internationally recognized with the Gold Medal at The Gin Masters 2023 in London. Specialized critics have also described it as a distinctive and well-structured gin, capable of elegantly expressing its Mediterranean character. Experts appreciate its balance between aromatic intensity and drinkability, its refined structure, and its strong territorial identity, recognizing its remarkable potential both in mixing and as an aperitif.

Frido Gin London Dry is produced through one-shot distillation in small batches, has an alcohol content of 46% vol., and is available in a 50 cl format.
