The Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG signed by Folonari and Tenuta di Nozzole is presented in a magnum bottle in a wooden case, packaging that emphasizes its suitability for special occasions and gifts. Deep ruby in color, it offers on the nose a complex bouquet with impressions of ripe red fruit, subtle floral notes and spicy hints; the body is rich yet balanced, with well-integrated tannins and good persistence inviting a slow tasting. The description remains cautious about production techniques, focusing on the organoleptic sensations perceptible in the glass.

It pairs naturally with red meat dishes, roasts and aged cheeses, but also stands up well to more structured preparations of traditional Italian cuisine. To appreciate its aromatic profile, it is recommended to serve the wine at an appropriate temperature and, if possible, to open the bottle some time in advance or decant it to encourage the expression of aromas. The wooden case adds scenic value, making it suitable for convivial occasions and for those seeking a bottle with an elegant presentation.

Winery history
The Folonari family has deep roots in the Brescia area and has been involved in wine production since the late 18th century. At the end of the 19th century the headquarters were moved to Brescia, and in the early 20th century the family acquired the historic Ruffino winery. In the 1960s Nino Folonari began a shift toward quality with the acquisition of estates in Chianti. In 2000 Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari established Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute, which brings together several estates in Tuscany, while the Folonari brand offers an extensive range of table wines and appellation wines.
Production philosophy
Enhance the production areas, combine tradition and innovation, and focus on grape quality to produce wines that are distinctive and closely tied to their territory; the company's plan includes investments in the estates and attention to the diversity of terroirs.
Terroir and vineyards
Headquarters and estates are mainly in Tuscany, with production and a presence also in north-eastern regions such as Veneto and in areas like the Collio; the company’s history begins in the Bresciano and includes references to territories around Lake Garda and beyond.
