The Grillo Sicilia DOC by "I Tini" is a bright and pure expression of the native Sicilian grape variety, Grillo, known for its capability to produce characterful wines with a strong connection to the land. This wine, with its moderate alcohol content, perfectly exemplifies the richness and diversity of the Sicilian terroir.

Produced exclusively from Grillo grapes, the harvest takes place manually in the early days of September, when the grapes reach the perfect balance between phenolic ripeness and acidity. After harvesting, the grapes undergo a gentle pressing, and the must ferments at controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks to preserve the aromatic freshness of the variety.

The result is a wine distinguished by its straw-yellow color with slight greenish reflections. On the nose, Grillo Sicilia DOC - I Tini offers a captivating bouquet with vibrant notes of tropical fruits, citrus, and a touch of aromatic herbs that provide an enticing freshness. On the palate, the wine is lively and well-balanced, with fresh acidity leading to a persistently aromatic finish.

Excellent as an aperitif, this wine pairs beautifully with light appetizers, seafood, and fish-based dishes. Its versatility also makes it an excellent choice to accompany spicy and flavorful dishes from Asian cuisine.

"Grillo Sicilia DOC - I Tini" is a wine that captivates with its elegance and liveliness, perfect for those wishing to explore the essence of Sicilian white wines. A true gem, capable of conveying in every sip the warmth and passion of Sicilian wine culture.

Winery history
The estate is managed by the Fronti family: the family's agricultural business traces its origins to the enterprise started by Bruno Fronti in 1959; the first vineyard land was purchased in 1982. For years the grapes were sold in bulk to third parties until the first bottling under their own label with the 2009 vintage. In 2012 they launched a project of separate vinification for cru from individual vineyards. The estate has been certified organic since the 2016 vintage.
Production philosophy
Expressive regional wines produced by prioritizing Sangiovese from individual vineyards, environmentally friendly agricultural practices, and winemaking aimed at highlighting site exposure and soil characteristics. The approach focuses on quality, limited production per individual cru, and sustainability.
Terroir and vineyards
Discontinuous vineyards located in the Chianti Classico area, characterized by high elevations and loose soils dominated by galestro and alberese. Main vineyards: Vigna Istine, Casanova dell'Aia and Cavarchione.
